In the world of street art being Queer isn’t accepted. It is ruled by a group of misogynistic, homophobic, heterosexual, males. This exhibit is intended to bring an awareness to the homophobic bullying along with show the history of queer art .
One of the first ever collected and dedicated exhibit to fighting homophobia in the subculture of graffiti and street art. It is a multi-media exhibit allowing it to reach a larger demographic of people. A catalog, pasted construction walls, murals, and an exhibit causing the message to be heard.

Mural artist Joel Richardson was paid $2,000 by the city to do a mural on a city-owned wall on Dupont just west of Lansdowne. On Tuesday, somebody -- apparently the city -- painted over it, likely as part of Rob Ford's graffiti eradication campaign.

New Stencil Archive Uploads Pt. 3: San Francisco

All the archive names and directories have been updated. There have been many name changes and some consolidation (for example, there is now a "Random USA" Archive instead of "Eastern USA" and "Western USA"). If you have linked anything within the Stencil Archives, those links are effectively broken. A few updates to the Stencil Archives include geotagging, keyword tags, and social media sharing.

Here's Part 3 of all the latest uploads. The total uploads for the past few days is 275. Thanks to everyone who has submitted over the past month or so!

Next steps again: update Drupal, add site theme to Gallery archives, and enjoy.

New Stencil Archive Uploads Pt. 1: 16,000th Upload

whew....

Just went through most of the Archives, changing those pesky "album###" to the actual name of the artist or location. Changed dozens of albums so now you see clean links instead of odd numbered directories.

This is Part 1 of the uploads. San Francisco pics and Europe pics will be uploaded tomorrow. These archives will undergo the above mentioned changes too, making their links more understandable.
